We are pleased to announce some exciting news from the Agilyx New Zealand office: the team has achieved Diamond level Enviro-Mark® certification, the highest level of this certification.

Last Thursday, the team at the Wellington office hosted a little celebration with drinks and an Enviro-Mark cake. Councillor Peter Gilberd, the Natural Environment Portfolio Leader at Wellington City Council, attended the event in which Ronja Lindehammar, Technical Account Manager at Enviro-Mark, gave the accreditation to Tim Bird, Managing Director at Agilyx NZ.

“What strikes me about Wellington is how progressive the people are and people come with the best ideas putting aside their benefit and doing what’s good for the city and for the world. Environmentally is taking a little bit of a pace and I congratulate you for what you’re doing”, Peter Gilberd said.

New Zealand is world-renowned for its picturesque landscape and the beauty and uniqueness of its flora and fauna. Therefore, environmental concerns rank very high in the country; a business is not a responsible entity without taking into consideration that everything we do affects the environment in one way or another.

Being certified to Enviro-Mark Diamond level is a signature achievement for Agilyx NZ and demonstrates our commitment to being responsible corporate citizens.

What does this accreditation mean?

Enviro-Mark Diamond means that Agilyx NZ has a robust Environmental Management System (EMS) in place that ensures all our plans and policies are followed and identifies opportunities for improvement. This EMS is reviewed consistently to make sure it is up to top performance.

The Wellington office has already achieved some impressive environmental improvements since they started working towards being Enviro-Mark certified. For example, the New Zealand office has reduced electricity usage by over 15% and have re-used 7,500 pages of A4 by supporting puppies (we take the shredded paper to the SPCA!).

The team is committed to keeping these standards and have the accreditation renewed every year.

A great achievement for a great team!
