Just so this doesn’t get misconstrued as a blanket statement on the cause of ERP project failures, I should assert that poor requirements management in and of itself isn’t the cause of project flops – there indeed are myriad other causes that have widely been published including changing organization priorities & change management complexities. However, the sheer magnitude of poor requirements management is revealed in some of the ERP reports already in the public domain.
